Nintendo Direct Roundup – 1st April, 2015

It’s happened, so what happened? Here’s a quick rundown of the news that arrived in today’s Nintendo Direct.

Let battle commence!
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS
– MewTwo DLC available from 28th April.
– MewTwo DLC prices for Wii U or 3DS at €3.99 / £3.59; or buy both for €4.99 / £4.49
– Those who registered both 3DS and Wii U copies of Smash Bros. on Club Nintendo will receive a free MewTwo download code from 15th April.
– 15th April update on Wii U only will include, DLC shop, sharing screenshots, replays, Miifighters and custom stages. Plus other adjustments.
– From 15th April DLC costumes for Mii fighters inspired by major franchises such as, Xenoblade, Mega Man, Mega Man X, Majora’s Mask, Link, Cat Suit, Proto Man, Monkey Suit, etc. Prices are set at €0.70 / £0.69 for one platform; or €1.19 / £1.09 for both 3DS and Wii U for each costume.
– Incoming fighter Lucas from Mother 3 to arrive in June this year.
– More fighters to be added at a later date via the Smash Bros. microsite which adds a ballot for you to choose who you would like to see.

– 29th May; Greninja and Jigglypuff
– June; Zero Suit Samus, Palutena, Dark Pit, Gannondorf
– July; Olimar, Dr.Mario, Bowser Jr.

Amiibo Touch and Play
Amiibo Touch & Play: Nintendo Classics Highlights
– Coming in May 2015, this free to download title let’s your Amiibo unlock Gameplay Highlights on select NES and SNES titles.
– Each time used, an Amiibo allows a 3 minute demo of the unlocked game.
– The first time your Amiibo touches the GamePad, a particular game will be selected randomly for unlock and assigned to that Amiibo forever.
– Touch multiple times with the same Amiibo to scroll through a level selection process and select a different scenario.

Mario Maker
Mario Maker
– Arriving in September 2015.
– creation from GamePad.
– 4 themes; Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and New Super Mario Bros. U.
– Upload your creations to share.

Yoshis Woolly World
Yoshi’s Woolly World
– Arrives on 26th June.
– Switch between 2 modes at any time during gameplay.
– Classic Mode is the traditional 2D Yoshi platform experience.
– Mellow Mode gives Yoshi wings and eases the level of platforming difficulty.
– Soft plush Woolly Yoshi Amiibo’s to come in 3 colours; green, light blue and pink.
– Ammibo Woolly Yoshi can be eaten and thrown to hit enemies or create platforms.
– Yoshi’s Woolly World bundle available at launch with Green Woolly Yoshi Amiibo.

– Arrives on 29th May.
– Ranked battles 4v4 now includes ‘Splat Zone’ which plays like Domination, holding an area for as long as possible under your colour.
– 1v1 games called Battle Dojo for local use only. One player on the TV and the other on the GamePad. Players battle to pop the most balloons.
– 3 Inkling Amiibo available to unlock missions. Complete missions for exclusive weapons and gear.
– Splatoon bundle to receive exclusive Green Inkling Squid Amiibo.

Afforable Space Adventures
Affordable Space Adventures
– Arrives on Wii U eShop 9th April.
– Use the GamePad to manage ship’s systems.
– Allows up to 3 players to work together and requires some expert communication skills.

Swords and soldiers 2
Swords and Soldiers 2
– Arrives on the Wii U eShop on 21st May.
– 2D castle defence title with Vikings and Demons.

virtual console
Virtual Console News
– N64 and DS support ‘Available Now!’
– Nintendo 64 games available; Super Mario 64 and Donkey Kong 64. Includes 3 different control layouts and rumble support.
– Nintendo DS games available; Mario Kart DS and WarioWare Touched. Includes multiple screen layouts using both TV and GamePad.
– Both N64 and DS games are priced at €9.99 / £8.99.
– Until 16th April buy 3 get one free on these 4 games.
– Paper Mario (N64) and Yoshi’s Island DS will be added in May 2015.
– Wii games Pandora’s Tower, arriving on 16th April, and Sin & Punishment: Successor of the Skies, arriving on 30th April, priced at €19.99 / £17.99. For the first week will have a 25% discount.

Mario Kart 8 DLC
– DLC Pack 2 now releaseing on 23rd April, will include;
– Characters – Isabelle, Male and Female Villager, Dry Bowser
– Vehicles – City Tripper, Streetle, + 2 more
– 8 Courses – Crossing Cup, and the Bell Cup.
– Animal Crossing Circuit changes season every time you play.
– 9 more compatible Amiibo to unlock racing suits; Mega Man, Pacman, Sonic, Toad, Wario, Villager, Rosalina, Bowser, Olimar.
– A special extra fast 200cc mode unlocked in 23rd April update for free.

Other 3DS News
– Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains arriving in May 2015 as an eShop exclusive, with extra support for the New 3DS and online and local 4 player mode.
– Azure Striker Gunvolt and Mighty Gunvolt available for download now. New 3DS allows faster loading and easier access to weapon changing. Plus 3 Home Menu Themes.
– Box Boy! from HAL Labs. available from the 3DS eShop now. Over 150 levels using blocks to create steps, bridges, hit switches, etc., to proceed.
– Pokemon Rumble World available on 8th April is a free to download game with in-game purchases to enhance your experience. Diamonds can be collected by completing stages, StreetPassing or by paying.
– Puzzle & Dragons Z – will be releasing a Mario themed demo soon.
– Codename: S.T.E.A.M. releasing 15th May.
– New Fire Emblem title to involve choosing a side to fight with, the Hashido or Nohr. Your choice will affect the whole game.
– Coming in Autumn 2015, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer; utilising Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards to invite animals into your created dream homes. NFC reader/writer available at same time to allow old 3DS to play with Amiibo.

Other Wii U News
– Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem still coming.
– Fatal Frame IV coming this year.

StreetPass Plaza
StreetPass Mii Plaza Updates
– 2 new games available from 16th April, priced at €4.99 / £4.49 each, or €7.99 / £7.49 for both.
– StreetPass Fishing developed by Probe allows you to catch over 150 fish using the correct bait.
-StreetPass Zombies developed by Good-Feel plays as an action fighting game with 26 unique weapons.
– StreetPass Mii Plaza Premium (€4.99 / £4.49) adds StreetPass birthdays and a VIP room.

    Fellas who of you play Pokemon GO? Amazing game,
    yesterday i caught rare pokemon Dragonite using pokebusterbot !
    No ban so far, still using it. You should too.
