Pokemon Shuffle has evolved to available in Europe

Pokemon Shuffle 1

Do you like match-3 puzzle games? Do you enjoy them even more if they are free to play? Then it’s your birthday because earlier today Pokemon Shuffle arrived on the 3DS eShop meeting both those exacting criteria.

For the uninitiated Pokemon Shuffle plays a lot like Candy Crush in that you start with 5 hearts (lives/attempts) and each stage you play, no matter if you win or lose, takes one Heart to play. Then Hearts take 30 minutes to refill each. Depending on how well you performed within each stage you’ll have a percentage chance of capturing the Pokemon that you faced off against. Gotta Catch ‘Em All.

There are things like microtransactions in play here with the ability to buy more hearts or in-game currency for special items, but if you’re a patient gamer then you’ll never have to part with a single penny.

Both myself and my progeny are enjoying this for its simple puzzle mechanic, and its free-to-play structure, just make sure your little ones don’t have your credit card and passwords to hand!

Yeah, if you have discipline then it’s fine, and just a decent free game. I guess I just don’t like the practice of this, abuses peoples addiction or lack of willpower and frustrates people who want to play longer.

Hope Nintendo don’t go too far down this route
